Magic

Here, you can view all of the available magic spells in Final Fantasy II. As explained on the Level System page, leveling up is different in this game as you have to cast the spell during battle in order to increase the level of the spell. Refer to the following lists to find out the names of the spells, the location where they can be bought of found, the costs of the spell and the effect of them.

White Magic

Safe Palm & Poft 400G Raises Defense
Shell Palm & Poft 400G Raises Magic Defense
Fear Bofsk 800G Makes your enemies more likely to run away
Peep Bofsk 800G Scares Allies
Heal Bofsk 800G Heals characters' status ailments depending on level
Mute Bofsk 800G Stops enemies from casting any spells
Life Salmando 1500G Brings you back to life
Anti Salmando 1500G Takes away an enemy's MP
Exit Salmando 1500G Warps you out of a dungeon at the cost of some HP when used out of battle
Dispel Phin 3000G Dispels magic and thus reduces the various elemental defenses depending on your characters' level
Mini Phin 3000G Shrinks a character and thus lowers Attack and Defense
Fog Phin 3000G Same effect as Mute, but it lasts longer
Slow Phin 3000G Lowers the number of attacks which can be made
Barrier Mysidia 8000G Raises various elemental defenses depending on level
Wall Mysidia 8000G Blocks Magic
Change Mysidia 8000G Swaps user's HP/MP with target
Berserk Jade 10.000G Make an enemy only Attack and raises an ally's Attack Power
