Classes

In Final Fantasy I are 12 classes, or also known as jobs, known in the world. They all have their own strengths and weaknesses. In the beginning of the game, you have to choose classes for your main party members, choose well to have a good balanced party.

Some of these classes can be upgraded into a better version of the previous class. Such as a White Mage can become a White Wizard. These classes will become available later in the game.

Class	Description & Details
Warrior	The Warrior Class, also known as the Fighter Class, has high Strength and Defense, but can't use Magic. It has the most HP of all of the classes and good Stamina. You can be transformed into a Knight later on. White Mage	White Mages use low to mid-level White Magic. But are weak in Strength and Defense. Weapons: Hammers & Staves Classes: Bracelets Magic: White (Level 1-7) Best Weapon: Silver Hammer Best Classes: Opal Bracelet
Black Mage	Black Mages use low to mid-level Black Magic. But are weak in Strength and Defense. Weapons: Knives & Staves Classes: Bracelets Magic: Black (Level 1-7) Best Weapon: Mage Staff Best Classes: Opal Bracelet
Red Mage	The statistics of a Red Mage are well balanced between a fighter and a magician. Strength and Defense are higher than the normal Mages and it can use most of the common black & white spells. Weapons: Swords, Knives & Staves Classes: Light Classes & Bracelets Magic: White (Level 1-5) & Black (Level 1-5) Best Weapon: Sun Sword Best Classes: Opal Bracelet
Monk	Monks are strong fighters and they don't need their weapons to still be a good fighter. A party of four Masters can defeat the final boss in less than two full rounds. Weapons: Nunchucks, Staves & Fists Classes: Bracelets Magic: None Best Weapon: Fists Best Classes: Opal Bracelet
Thief	The Thieves don't have very high Strength or Defense, but it's good at fleeing battles or using short weapons. Agility and Luck are the best statistic for the Thieves. Knight	The Knight is like an upgrade class for the Warrior. It is a powerful fighter and it can use White Magic up to level 3. Weapons: Sword, Axe, Knife & Staff Classes: All Magic: White (Level 1-3) Best Weapon: Xcalber Best Classes: Opal / Dragon Classes
White Wizard	The White Wizard is like an upgrade for the White Mage. It uses higher White Magic spells and has better equipments. Weapons: Hammers & Staves Classes: Bracelets Magic: White (Level 1-8) Best Weapon: Thor's Hammer Best Classes: Opal Bracelet
Black Wizard	The Black Wizard is like an upgrade for the Black Mage. It uses higher Black Magic spells and has better equipments. Weapons: Knives & Staves Classes: Bracelets Magic: Black (Level 1-8) Best Weapon: CatClaw Best Classes: Opal Bracelet
Red Wizard	The Red Wizard is like an upgrade for the Red Mage. It uses higher White & Black Magic spells up to level 6 and has better equipments. Ninja	The Ninja is like an upgrade for the Thief Class. It's a better fighter than the Thief and it can use better equipments. It can also use Black Magic up to level 4.
