The Five Stones

During your trip to Shumi Village, you will be asked to locate five stones to help out the Sculptor in the Workshop. First go visit the Sculptor's Workshop at the end of the village. Then speak with the Village Elder. Go to the Sculptor again and assist him. He'll ask you to find the five stone: Blue Stone, Wind Stone, Life Stone, Shadow Stone and the Water Stone.

Blue Stone

This one is easy. Just go to the left of the statue in the Workshop and examine it. You'll have four more to go!

Wind Stone

To get this stone, head back towards the elevator. The Wind Stone is on the left of the Hotel. Search the large boulder and Squall will notice breeze coming from the stone. Three more left to find!

Life Stone

The Life Stone is in the tree roots to the right of the Elder's House on your way back to the Elevator. The Life Stones are what allow so much vegetation to grow on such a barren rock.

Shadow Stone

Return to the surface using the Elevator and go down the steps. Search on the other side of the Draw Point in a large shadow that overlaps the shadows cast by the dome overhead. You'll find the Shadow Stone there.

Water Stone

This one is tricky, you might search the pond outside Artisan's Workshop where the frog is sitting. You'll find a stone, but it's not the Water Stone, so it's useless. The real Water Stone is used for washing and so you can find it in Artisan's House.

Reward

After bringing these five stones to the Workshop and visit the Elder. You'll receive a Phoenix Pinion for your efforts. It doesn't sound like much, but this is actually a spell to summon a Guardian Force, Phoenix. Use the stone during battle with the Item command and Phoenix will come to your rescue. It will appear randomly if allies are down during battle afterwards, though I haven't seem him much. So you'd better save it until you really need it.

You're not done yet, there's more to explore!

Leave the village after you got the Phoenix Pinion and then return to the Workshop to talk to the Elder's Attendant. He has been assigned to help with the statue. He doesn't like to help out, so return to the Elder and ask for more assistance. After speaking with the Elder, go outside and speak with the Moomba who is sitting on the ground.

Follow the Moomba as it goes to the Workshop and watch the conversation between Moomba and the Elder's Attendant. Now return to the Elder and he'll say that he needs another person to help build the statue. Speak with the Elder's Attendant in the Workshop and he want Artisan to help out. Go to Artisan's house next door and speak with the Artisan. He doesn't want to help out either, so head to the Elder again. He'll ask you to find  way to convince the Artisan.

Return now to Fisherman's Horizon and talk to the Grease Monkey, who lives in the Repair Shop near the Train Station. He will give you a Moomba Doll after you explain the situation. Take the Doll back to Shumi Village and give it to the Artisan. If you went through the Master Fisherman's event in FH, he will make a short appearance during this quest. Now head back to the Elder's house and he will give you a Status Guard for all of your help!
