The Auto-Abilities

Weapons and Armor often have one or more free slots, which Auto-Abilities can be assigned to. Once these Abilities are activated, they will have a permanent impact on your battles. It means the effects of the Abilities will last the whole battle and cannot be dispelled.

Refer to the following tables to learn about all the Auto-Abilities you can assign to your weapons and Armor. The three columns will list the name of the Ability, the effect of the Ability and the items that are required to assign the Ability to an open slot of your weapon or Armor. Refer to The Menu section to learn how to customize your weapons and Armor.

Counterattack Strike back after being physically attacked. Friend Sphere x1
Darkstrike Adds Darkness status to your attacks (Most the time). Smoke Bomb x20
Darktouch Adds Darkness status to your attacks. Eye Drops x60
Deathstrike Adds Death status to your attacks (Most the time). Farplane Wind x60
Deathtouch Adds Death status to your attacks. Farplane Shadow x30
Double AP Receive 3x as much AP after every battle. Megalixir x20
Double Overdrive Overdrive gauge charges 2x faster than normal. Underdog's Secret x30
Evade & Counter Evades and counters enemy's attack at the same time. Teleport Sphere x1
Firestrike Adds fire element to your physical attacks. Bomb Fragment x4
First Strike Character has the first turn in battle. Return Sphere x1
Gillionaire Doubles the amount Gil earned. Designer Wallet x30
Half MP Cost Reduces MP consumption all magics by 1/2. Twin Stars x20
Icestrike Adds ice element to attacks and skills. Antarctic Wind x4
Initiative Raises chance for First Strike; prevents ambush. Chocobo Feather x6
Lightningstrike Adds lightning element to your physical attacks. Electro Marble x4
Magic +3% Increases character's magic stat by 3%. Mana Sphere x3

Magic +20% Increases character's magic stat by 20%. Supreme Gem x4
Magic Booster Consumes x2 MP and x2 the damage dealt by Magic. Turbo Ether x30
Magic Counter Character counters when attacked with magic. Shining Gem x16
One MP Cost Reduces MP consumption all magics to 1. Three Stars x20
Overdrive -> AP Overdrive gauge is converted to AP. Door To Tomorrow x10
Piercing Deal regular damage to enemies with tough armors. Lv. 2 Key Sphere x1
Poisonstrike Adds Poison status to your attacks (Most the time). Poison Fang x24

Sensor Enemy's status becomes viewable during battle. Ability Sphere x2
